about me
Jermine D. Alberty, M. Div. accepted his call to the ministry at the age of 16, and since that time has dedicated his life to the service of others. He truly believes that to be the “salt of the earth” that we must serve, affirm, and love each other. He believes that through these actions, a transformation will take place in the hearts of individuals and communities.
Education
2009 - Completed a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in management from the University of Phoenix.
2012- Completed a Master of Divinity degree at Central Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a part of the first CREATE cohort a Master of Divinity degree program designed to equipped leaders to guide people of faith into creative discovery theologically, organizationally, and missionally.

Throughout his 25 years in numerous industries, he has served in both faith-based and secular capacities, including non-profits, faith communities, government, mental health, and academia.
He has served in numerous capacities within churches serving as a youth pastor, outreach coordinator, associate minister in local congregations in Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and served as the interim pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Columbia, MO in 2012, and Webster Groves Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo in 2014.
He has served in the roles as a community organizer working with different faith traditions, planning assessment team member for neighborhoods in the City of Kansas City, Missouri, training director for a community mental health center, a principal investigator with the University of Missouri St. Louis.
Serves as the Executive Director for Pathways to Promise www.pathways2promise.org an interfaith cooperative of many faith groups, which was founded in 1988 by fourteen faith groups and mental health organizations to facilitate the faith community’s work in reaching out to those with mental illnesses and their families. He possesses a deep passion for mental health ministry through personal experience.
National Trainer of Mental Health First Aid a course that teaches risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org.
